Ordering Custom Cakes

How can My Bella Sweets design a Custom Cake for my needs?

Think about what would be fun, creative, and really say something about the person who you are getting the cake for. Does he or she play any sports? Musical instruments? What are their hobbies? What is your child's favorite cartoon character or toy?  You could match an invitation or someone's favorite trinket.  Another way to get inspiration is to google cakes with your theme or desires...for example: Butterfly Fondant Cake or Circus Theme two-tier cake.  Save any pictures that inspire you.  Anything you can think of, I can possibly make into a cake or sweet treat of your choice!  

How do I place an order?

To start the order process, please send an email to kathryndwaters@gmail.com containing all the following information:

• the date of your event
• the occasion/nature of your event (wedding, birthday, etc)
• the event location, delivery address, and delivery time
• how many people you will need to serve
• your daytime phone number
• your email address
• flavors from our flavor list (tasting samples are available by request)
• an idea of what kind of cake design you are looking for

I will contact you to to discuss your order, give you a quote and/or schedule an appointment. I do not have any cakes pre-made for sale, every cake I make is custom made to order from start to finish.

What's your payment policy?

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your order; the remainder is due at least two weeks prior to your event. Your order is not confirmed until we have received back the email contract and 50% non-refundable deposit.Payment can be made by cash, check or credit card (Visa, AmEx, or Mastercard, Discover, and Paypal). Cake orders placed with less than two weeks notice require payment in full at the time of ordering.

If you cancel your order, your balance payment is refundable provided My Bella Sweets  is notified at least five (5) business days prior to the event. There is no payment refund on orders canceled within five (5) business days of the event.

Tasting appointments are held for cake orders by request only. Choose up to six flavors from our flavor list to sample.  There is a non-refundable deposit required for appointments. The deposit will be deducted from the final cost of your cake order.

Event dates are held for you through the date of your appointment or quote, and five (5) business days afterwards.  If we do not receive a signed contract and 50% deposit within five (5) business days of your appointment or quote, your date may become unavailable.

Sweets available vary from Saturday to Saturday, and it's first come first serve!  So if you wish to order something specific and make sure you get it, please contact me for a special order with the details below.

*Because the cakes are completely custom made,  many designs need to be priced individually by the complexity of their design, so I do not have a standard price list for the more detailed complex fondant cakes.   I am happy to work within your event budget and encourage you to contact me for a design/tasting appointment so that we can discuss your cake order in person.  I feel talking with someone person to person and getting to know their ideas is the best way to plan a spectacular cake!

 

Frequently Asked Question about pricing:

Why do you charge more than what I can find at a grocery store...don't you provide the same thing?  

Please don't compare my prices to Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, Costco, or a grocery store.  People can't get the same cake at Wal-Mart that they get from My Bella Sweets.  My custom cakes and sweets are edible works of art that require skill and artistry, and can take days to complete.  That cake at Wal-Mart was made months ago, flash-frozen, and shipped to the store, where an employee working as quickly as he/she could frosted it with icing from a bucket, and maybe added some airbrushing or buttercream roses.  That employee probably had 50 other cakes to complete in the same shift.  The difference between my sweets and Wal-Mart's can be likened to the difference between custom garments and off-the-rack clothes. Say you went to a seamstress, consulted with her about the perfect fabric and cut for your body type, discussed your coloring, took measurements, went back for several fittings, and in the end had an exquisite dress, hand-made with excruciating attention to detail, perfect for your body and your coloring.  When the seamstress required payment, you would not tell her that a Wal-Mart dress costs $14.99, so that's all you should pay. The two products are not comparable.

Also, I am providing the kind of cake that Wal-Mart simply can't. Will Wal-Mart match a baby shower cake to an invitation? Will they accept fabric swatches of bridesmaids' wedding dresses to ensure a perfectly color coordinated wedding cake? Will they respond to multiple emails from a mother who's worried about making her daughter's bridal shower perfect in every way? No!   I love to provide excellent customer service that you simply won't find at any grocery store!  Not to mention I will deliver right to your door with a smile!

Delivery

I'd like to send my friend something as a gift. Do you deliver like florists deliver flowers?

Definitely! When you place your order, let me know the delivery time and recipient's delivery address. I will even include a card and/or personal message from you. Just make sure someone will be available to accept the delivery as I will be unable to make multiple delivery attempts.

I will deliver in the Statesboro, Ga. area free of charge!  A delivery fee will be added to total cost if not a local Statesboro delivery to cover the cost of gas and mileage.

All purchases will be delivered in great care and with wonderful special presentation!  It is my pleasure to see the smiles that your gift will bring to your loved one.

Want to throw an amazingly fun and unique party without the hassle of all the planning?

How about a My Bella Sweets decorating party?!

• Option #1-The Cookie Party Includes 3, already baked sugar cookies per child, shapes and colors to match the theme of the party.  Kids decorate these with fondant icing, our very own sugar playdoh.  We will provide different size cutters, stamps, edible embellishments, glitter and markers to let kids be creative. Kids can eat some and take home the rest in cute cellophane wrapping as party favors and impress their family and friends.  $25 per child 
• Option #2- The Cupcake Party Includes 3, already baked cupcakes per child, flavor of your choice.  Kids decorate these with buttercream, fondant icing, sprinkles and different edible embellishments. Kids can eat some and take home the rest as party favors to share with their family, a box will be provided for every child.  $25 per child  
• Option #3- The Painting Party   
  Includes one 5x7 canvas panel per child, paints and brushes will be provided.  Kids decorate it with acrylic paints, and experiment with fun painting techniques…like splatter paint with a toothbrush!  Kids take it home and show off their masterpiece!  Makes an awesome party favor!  $25 per child
  
  
  Additional Information:
  - Everything is customized to match the theme and colors of your party. 
  - Extra cookies and cupcakes can be added at an additional cost.
  - Parties are appropriate for boys or girls, age recommended is 5 - 99.  
  -Duration is between 1.5 - 2 hours depending on how many guests and age range.
  -Everything is provided.  All that is needed is a sturdy table for the kids to have a space to decorate. 
  - Final head count is needed at least 1 week before party, required is a minimum of 6 children.  
  - My Bella Sweets can not be held accountable for allergic reactions, you will be responsible for all guests.    
  - Our packages are not limited to birthday parties!
   Please ask about adding the perfect, already decorated Custom Birthday Cake for your party; remember all decorated goodies are the party favors.
